Welcome to Know The Truth Publications

Why This Book?
There is a need for God's people in our day to be exposed to a view of the Second Coming of Christ based upon a biblical context which suggests that Christ's return and the rapture of the Church will take place at the end of the Great Tribulation.  Without the popularized views and sensationalsim which often accompanies this subject, this book attempts to provide a straight-forward scriptural study of the events surrounding the Second Coming of Christ.  This book presents the post-tribulation view of Christ's return which not only has its foundation in scripture but also was supported in the writings of the early church fathers.  God's people need to know the truth.

"...if the word of God clearly teaches that Christians will be on earth during the tribulation, and does not teach a phase-one early removal, then we who see it have a responsibility to prepare the church for whatever may come, even though in many circles this unwelcome message will receive a hostile reception."
- Arthur Katterjohn, The Tribulation People

Before you trust in the popular notion that you will escape the Great Tribulation, read this book.  Before you believe that Jesus will come as a "thief in the night" in an any moment secret rapture, read this book.

Outline Form
This book is presented in an outline form in order to provide the reader with: 1) a clearly defined context in which to study the scriptures concerning the Second Coming of Christ;  2) a focus on the main issues involved in this study;  3) an easy format in which to quickly identify important subject matter throughout the book;  4) a greater opportunity for developing your own Biblical conclusions; and 5) a format for individual and group Bible studies.

Biblical Context
This book contains nearly all the important scriptural references that pertain to Christ's Second Coming in their full context.  This is important because you, the reader, should see and understand important scriptures in the context in which they are meant.  So often these verses are pulled from their context and used in a "cut and paste" fashion to teach something that was never intended.
For example, the pre-tribulation rapture theory uses the scriptures about the "thief in the night" as refering to Jesus coming for the church in a secret rapture before the great tribulation.   Yet, not one scriptural context that uses the phrase, "thief in the night" says anything about the thief (Jesus) coming for His church.  Instead, the context surrounding most of these references clearly indicate that the "thief in the night" is coming in judgment to an unsuspecting world.  We must believe the truth based upon scripture that is clearly defined by the context of God's word.  The full scriptural passage or context has been put in the book to make it easier for the reader to keep the continuity of their reading without having to constantly pause to look up the scripture in their own Bible.

The Philosophy of This Book
When approaching the subject of the Second Coming of Christ and the many scriptural texts relating to it, it is important to have a structure or plan by which the reader can deal with all the information.  This book has been arranged in such a way as to start with the teachings of Jesus and the Apostle Paul because they form the framework for understanding the main events leading up to Christ's Second Coming.  When this framework is established, then the book of Revelation and some of the Old Testament texts can be better understood and can offer details which complete this body of truth.

How Can You  Apply This Study to Your Christian Life?
In each chapter of the book there is a section devoted to helping you apply the truth of the Second Coming of Christ to your Christian life.  It is one thing to study the "when" and "how" of Christ's return, but it is even more important to understand the scriptural implications for your Christian growth.  Are you spiritually ready for what is about to take place before the Second Coming of Christ?
